Energy Grants

The Save on Energy Retrofit Program provides businesses with financial incentives to upgrade equipment, reduce energy costs and carbon footprints, 

 Eligible Energy-Efficient Measures:

• Lighting Controls: Optimize energy usage and reduce costs.
• HVAC Systems: Upgrade to efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions.
• Equipment: Enhance operational efficiency with advanced technologies.

The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) offers funding for up to 100% of eligible retrofit costs, combining low-interest repayable and forgivable loans for    eligible CMHC program affordability housing.

Eligible Programs:

• Forgivable Loans: Cover the lesser of $85,000 per unit or 80% of eligible retrofit costs.
• Low-Interest Loans: Finance the remaining balance to help you achieve your retrofit goals  with a maximum of $170,000 per unit.

The Enbridge Gas Affordable Housing Multi-Residential Program supports social and municipal housing providers, shelters, co-ops, and multi-family buildings.

Program Benefits:

• Energy Assessments: Receive up to $8,000 per building for an on-site energy assessment 
• Energy-Efficient Upgrades: Access up to $200,000 in incentives for energy-efficient equipment, including boilers, water heaters, condensing make-up air units and more.

 The Enbridge Gas Commercial Retrofit Program offers a range of incentives to help you upgrade to high – efficiency equipment. Eligible Programs: 

• Fixed Incentives: For simple energy retrofit measures, the program offers the cost of upgrading to energy-efficient natural gas technology based on fixed incentives.
• Custom: For all custom energy retrofit projects you can get up to $0.25/m3 for natural gas saved up to 50 percent of project upgrade costs, to a maximum of $100,000 per project.
